Resistance to Abuse Forces
In conventional lock systems, abuse forces are absorbed through the kinematics. As a result, force impulses also affect bearings and running surfaces, which can lead to premature failure. Our new design approach absorbs abuse forces with only four massively dimensioned components. The actual kinematics that pull the latch shut are relieved in the closed position. Abuse forces therefore do not reduce the service life.
Low Susceptibility to Contamination
Conventional lock catches usually have openings to accommodate the catch pin. These openings allow dirt to enter the housing, potentially impairing or even disabling the lock or other internal components. With our design, the latch sits flush with the housing in its rest position, combined with tight tolerances between the inner and outer cylinder. This significantly minimizes gaps and reduces possible entry points for contamination.
